Senior Aircraftswoman (SACW) Pamela R. Oosterveen (nee Eves)
I arrived at Fontainebleau in November 1964. I was assigned to Special Services and worked on the AFCENT Review - a weekly newspaper for Camp Guynemer. In December 1966 I was asked to be part of the advance team to help set up HQ AFCENT in the Hendrik Mine, Brunssum, The Netherlands - this when France left the military side of NATO in 1967. After leaving the WRAF in April 1967 I started work as a Management Secretary/PA at the SHAPE Technical Centre, The Hague, The Netherlands where I worked for 12 years. In 1968 I married a Dutchman whom I had met whilst at Fontainebleau, he being then in the Dutch Air Force. During our married life we have been expats living in Morocco and Venezuela respectively. We are now retired and living in The Netherlands. We have two grandchildren and our son and family live in the UK.
